Eric Vs. 365 - Day 195 - Neon Drive

Neon Drive is one of the most beautiful and unique indie games on PS4 and it is one of our favorites from the last few years. This driving / rhythm game is like an 80's aesthetic fever dream and it's freaking amazing. Read on for more and to watch gameplay.

I did a full review of Neon Drive back when it came out in August 2017. Read the review here.

How can you see even a second of Neon Drive in action and not instantly fall in love with it? It's not much of a driving game, really, and is more of a rhythm game where you dodge around obstacles in time with the awesome 80's synth music. It's incredibly well done and addictive and fun and amazing. Each level is split into multiple parts, each with different gimmicks, so there is a lot of variety to it, too.

It also gets really difficult. The later stages are very tricky and require a lot of repetition and memorization to get through. Even if those sections prove too tough - like the Blade Runner-inspired level for me ... - and you never get through them, there's still plenty of content to make it worth it. For the $10 asking price you're getting more than your money's worth here, I think.

Not much else to say, really. Neon Drive is beautiful and has great music and addictive gameplay and is just freaking great. Play it.
