Eric Vs. 365 - Day 249 - Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition

Is it sad or admirable that I've played pretty much every co-op focused game solo for the last 15-20 years? Whether it's because friends aren't interested in these particular games or we just never have free time at the same time, I end up playing all of this stuff solo. And, no, I don't want to play with randos on the Internet and at this point I'd rather play solo anyway. Anyways, my point is that I've played a lot of today's game, Diablo 3, solo. And it's still totally satisfying and tons of fun and I don't feel bad about it at all. Read more and watch gameplay here.

Diablo 3 is one of those games where the big controversies hit it but I was totally in the dark and didn't care about any of it. See, I didn't play Diablo 1 or 2 and had no opinion on what Diablo 3 "should" be. I was just excited that it was coming to consoles and I could actually play it. So if you're a staunch believer in the whole Diablo 3 sucks and was disappointing thing, uh, good on ya, but I don't care. I thought it was incredibly fun and far and away better than the other - what the hell do you call these? Isometric action RPGs? - similar games that I played. If Diablo 3 is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

I played a ton of Diablo 3 on Xbox 360 and then did it all over again when it came to Xbox One. It really is stunning how much better the current-gen versions are compared to the last-gen ones. There's loads more enemies on screen and it's just a lot more fun.

Now I'm playing it again on PS4 because I'm a dummy. The really stupid thing is that I've played it exactly the same way every time. I'm always a lady barbarian. I always have the enchantress as my companion. I just like playing this way, dammit. I like the melee focused combat of the barbarian and the enchantress is freaking adorable. Let me have this!

Diablo 3 is fun. The end.
